本校「學者學院」系列活動之首場講座已於 2026年5月14日（星期四） 順利舉行。為激發學生對科學與學術的熱忱，本校非常榮幸邀請到享譽國際的古生物學家兼跨界插畫師 Dr. Natalia Jagielska 親臨本校，為學生及教師帶來一場精彩的專題講座。
是次講座的主題為「The brief story of Dinosaurs (and women behind them)」。Dr. Jagielska 擁有英國愛丁堡大學地球科學博士學位，現為香港中文大學博士後研究員，曾榮獲 2024 年 Edward Forbes Prize，並因參與發現蘇格蘭首個翼龍化石而備受全球關注。在講座中，她不僅帶領師生走進古生物學對恐龍的探索之旅，分享了女性在科學研究背後的非凡故事，更展示了古生物學與藝術（插畫）之間的微妙關係，充分體現了跨學科科學實踐的魅力。

The inaugural lecture of our school's "Scholar Academy" series was successfully held on Thursday, May 14, 2026. To inspire students' passion for scientific and academic excellence, we were privileged to invite Dr. Natalia Jagielska, an internationally renowned paleontologist and cross-disciplinary illustrator, as our keynote speaker. The event took place in Room 203, catering to invited senior secondary students and faculty members.
The lecture, themed "The brief story of Dinosaurs (and women behind them)," offered an enriching experience for all attendees. Dr. Jagielska, who earned her PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Edinburgh and currently serves as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, is the winner of the 2024 Edward Forbes Prize and achieved global recognition for co-discovering Scotland’s first pterosaur. During the session, she guided teachers and students through the fascinating journey of dinosaur exploration, highlighted the pivotal roles of women behind these scientific discoveries, and demonstrated the unique intersection between paleontology and art.
